Yes, different industries have varying requirements regarding desulfurization. Of course, different regions also have different implementation standards due to their respective environmental regulations. In general, the **standard standards** are followed, but in some areas where there is a strong need to control air pollution, the requirements may be stricter. At present, in China, efforts regarding desulfurization are mainly focused on coal-fired enterprises such as thermal power plants, with a relatively smaller number of efforts directed at other types of enterprises.
Based on the current situation of desulfurization, it can be divided into three categories: 1. Treatment of flue gas with high concentrations of SO2 – acid production can be considered as an option. 2. Treatment of flue gas with low concentrations of SO2 – coal-fired power plants generally fall into this category; reasonable desulfurization processes should be employed, with absorption methods being the most common, such as the limestone-gypsum method and the double-alkali method. 3. Desulfurization during the industrial process – this refers to the desulfurization of sulfur-containing intermediate gases or fuels, such as in coal gasification, where catalytic oxidation methods are primarily used.
