Urea is synthesized by the carbon dioxide stripping method, with a CO2 conversion rate of 62%
Have you used Cassali high-efficiency trays? What is the achievable CO2 conversion rate?
Our factory: minimum 49% (poor system performance), 55–58% (normal system performance); Up to 62% ;
In the carbon dioxide stripping method, the design value provided by the Fourth Research Institute seems to be 57.4%. Our production rate is usually around 58-59% when everything is running normally
In the carbon dioxide stripping process, the theoretical or design conversion rate is generally 57%; in actual production, this conversion rate can be increased to around 65%.
Design conversion rate: Full cycle method: 72%, CO2 stripping method: 53%, ammonia stripping method: 60%. There are some deviations from the design in actual production; I know that the ammonia stripping method generally yields lower results than what is designed.
Thanks to the use of high-efficiency trays in the stripping process synthesis tower in recent years, the conversion rate has increased compared to the design value, reaching around 65%.
The efficiency using traditional trays is only 57%, while with the new high-efficiency trays, it can reach around 63% when process parameters are optimized; this is due to the low ammonia/carbon ratio and a reaction temperature of 183 degrees.
