Could it be caused by poor water quality?
Was it because the welds at that time did not meet the standards, resulting in a sudden change in stress? Or was it because the liquid inside the pipeline was corrosive?
Pay attention to selecting the welding rod, and the welds must be inspected.
Reweld it; it’s probably a welding quality issue
First, analyze the causes of cracking and eliminate the factors that lead to it; then, develop an appropriate welding process for carrying out the welding, and finally conduct necessary magnetic particle or penetrant testing to ensure the quality of the weld.

There is no doubt that it is due to excessive stress; there are two solutions: 1. Modify the connection method between the economizer and the header to increase the expansion compensation. 2. Is the joint box pipe seat of the plug-in type? If so, replace it with a reinforced pipe seat; TIG welding must be used as the base welding method.
Expansion is hindered, or there is frequent vibration
If there’s a weld failure, you can just weld it back together – of course, following the welding specifications. We’ve never encountered this problem before; it’s likely a defect left over from the construction process.

I think we should analyze the reasons: there was welding failure at the junction and the header; since it has been in use for several years, stress is probably not the cause. Or high stress is not the main reason either. 1. Fly ash in flue gas is a significant factor contributing to wear; welding protective templates at the tube bundles and headers is also a good approach. 3.
