I was wondering if anyone has encountered a situation where, when analyzing dolomite or limestone, the values of CaO and MgO calculated in reverse exceed 100. Could someone explain this to me? Thank you
I don’t know what the measured content is; theoretically, it should not exceed 56.03%. If I use the EDTA titration method for analysis, there are two reasons for this: 1. The purity level of the reference reagent is insufficient. It can be replaced. 2. Impurities in distilled water are above the standard. A reagent blank can be used for subtraction. 3. The concentration of the standard solution is inaccurate. It can be recalibrated.
In addition to considering these points raised by the poster, it is also necessary to consider whether there are substances with a molecular weight lower than that of the substance being measured that could cause interference
First, find a standard sample and use it to do it; if that doesn’t work, you can simply prepare one using chemical reagents on your own
