I would like to ask for your advice. We have just built a frame for a mixing equipment, and I’m wondering if anyone could help calculate whether this frame is sufficient. The volume of the equipment is 300 cubic meters, with a diameter of 7000 mm and a height of 8500 mm. The weight of the mixing drive mechanism is around 10 tons. It has an open design, and the frame is made of 500-series I-beams arranged in a cross shape. The diameter of the mixing shaft is 2700 mm, with a maximum rotation speed of 60 revolutions per minute. Please help; we have already tested the equipment, and it seems that the frame isn’t strong enough. Thank you!

Where are your pictures? Just saying, how do you calculate it? It depends on the specific model! Also, why do you use I-beams instead of H-beams? :(
It is best to use cast iron components; if carbon steel is used, the mechanical seal can easily be damaged due to vibrations
How should the rack be designed? What are the general steps? Mainly, how do you determine the thickness and width of the material? Thank you
What is the motor power? Is there 160KW? A double-layer mixer? What is this material, and why is such a high mixing intensity used? What is the material concentration? What is the true specific gravity? What is the particle size of the material?
A 500-sized I-beam should be more than sufficient for the cross-section. But why not use channel steel?
