Ammonia separator level issue

In our factory, the separated liquid ammonia is transported beneath the ammonia separator of the refrigeration machine using a liquid ammonia transfer shielded pump; it seems rather difficult to control this process. Would it be better to install an intermediate liquid ammonia storage tank? How do the factories of other colleagues handle this situation?
You can install a level transmitter to measure the level in the separator, and the secondary gauge can provide upper and lower limit alarm outputs to control the start and stop of the pump
