Could everyone help find some information on using methanol to test cryopumps? What should be taken into consideration? Any experience to share would be highly appreciated! ! Thank you! !
Firstly, the material must be suitable for low-temperature conditions; stainless steel or low-temperature steel can both be used； The shaft must be made of a special material, as ordinary martensitic 1Cr13 has low strength and poor performance at low temperatures. There are three types of seal flushing: one is self-flushing with PLAN11 (or 31); another is PLAN52 (for atmospheric pressure tanks); and the third is nitrogen flushing using PLAN62, to prevent water vapor in the air from freezing. Series mechanical seals are generally used.
