What is a plug-flow trap? What is its function? Is the English name something like this: separator/surge Vessel?
A slug flow catcher for oil-gas mixed transportation, whose housing is horizontally cylindrical. At the upper part of its left end, there is an oil-gas cyclone pre-separator; at its upper end, there is a gas connection pipe that leads into the interior of the housing. Below this, there is an inclined shock-absorbing plate welded to the inner wall of the housing. At the lower part of the cyclone pre-separator, there is a conical liquid dropping tube that is connected to the liquid distributor inside the housing. An oil-gas inlet is located in the tangential direction in the middle of the cyclone pre-separator. To the right of the distributor, a large semi-circular weir plate is welded vertically, while a small semi-circular weir plate is welded at the right end of the housing. Oil outlets and water outlets are welded to the bottom of the housing on the right and left sides respectively. Above the small semi-circular weir plate, on the upper part of the housing’s bottom, a sand-flushing pipe assembly is installed; below it, there is a sand collection tray along with a sand discharge outlet. On the upper part of the housing, from left to right, there are manholes, a safety valve interface, an oil-water interface detector interface, a pressure transmitter interface, and a gas mist eliminator. The present invention addresses the impact of plug flow in mixed transportation pipelines on production and reduces project costs. A slug flow catcher for oil-gas mixed transportation consists of a slug flow catcher housing, an oil-gas cyclone pre-separator, a liquid outlet distributor, an overflow weir plate, a shock reduction plate, a sand collection hopper, a sand flushing tube assembly, a sand discharge port, an oil outlet, a sewage discharge port, a water outlet, a safety valve interface, a pressure sensor interface, an oil-water interface detector interface, a gas demister, and access ports. It is characterized in that the slug flow catcher housing is of horizontal cylindrical shape; at the upper part of its left end, there is a cylindrical oil-gas cyclone pre-separator. At the upper end of this cyclone pre-separator, there is a gas connection pipe equipped with a control valve, and this pipe leads into the interior of the housing. Below it, there is a shock reduction plate that is welded to the inner wall of the housing and is inclined. At the lower part of the oil-gas cyclone pre-separator, there is a conical liquid descent tube that extends vertically into the housing and is connected to the liquid outlet distributor inside. An oil-gas inlet is located in the tangential direction in the middle of the cyclone pre-separator. On the inner wall of the catcher housing, to the right of the liquid outlet distributor, a liquid overflow weir plate is welded vertically, with the notch positioned at the top. At the right end of the slug flow catcher, a small semi-circular oil overflow weir plate is welded vertically to the inner wall, again with the notch at the top. To the right of this oil overflow weir plate, there is an oil outlet at the bottom of the catcher housing; to the left of it, there is a water outlet at the bottom of the same housing. Above the bottom part of the catcher housing, on the left side first and then on the right side, there are access ports, a safety valve interface, an oil-water interface detector interface, a pressure transmitter interface, and a gas demister equipped with a mist eliminator. Indeed, there are likely many different types of collectors, each suitable for different applications. These factors such as the liquid content in natural gas, pipe diameter, pressure, and the amount of bubbles play a role as well. Under what conditions is your type of collector suitable for use?
May I ask the principal of Haichuan Kindergarten: can a plunger collector be replaced with a larger two-phase separator?
English name: slug catcher
It’s a slug catcher, right, or a pig launcher/receiver
Hello! I’m not quite clear about the specific structural layout. Also, it seems that the sludge catcher is used in conjunction with the blow case – is that correct? I would appreciate a detailed explanation, thank you!
