It is indeed hard to accept, to some extent, for postgraduate students to work as operators. The question is, since postgraduate students are already operators, how should this be addressed? Here, let’s first talk about the education at our university. After completing three years of graduate study, what improvements have we made as individuals? Compared to undergraduates and vocational school students, what advantages do we have? How can we leverage our strengths to gain recognition from society? These analyses prior to starting work are very important for students who are about to enter the workforce; as the saying goes, knowing your enemy and yourself ensures victory in every battle. 1. Graduate students have a solid theoretical foundation, are good at learning, and possess certain skills in conducting research; ideal careers for them are teacher or researcher. Disadvantages: The work is monotonous, it’s far removed from actual production practices, the tasks are not easily applied in reality, and it lacks social recognition ； There is no sense of achievement. 2 postgraduates are employed by companies. Disadvantages: Too close to production practice, excessive knowledge, quality waste ； In other words, production practice does not require that much knowledge and theory; the knowledge possessed by a student who has graduated from a technical school is sufficient, as long as they are diligent and eager to learn. In other words, postgraduate professionals are at a disadvantage in production roles and lack advantages compared to experienced professionals ； Advantages: It is close to actual production practices, allowing one to apply what has been learned to solve problems in production; the knowledge applied can be directly linked to social benefits, which provides a sense of achievement. 3 postgraduates were employed by design firms. It feels the same as the second one; some practical training is still required. Having understood these circumstances, it is up to the graduate students themselves to plan their own lives. When a graduate student is working at the grassroots level, the organization will surely pay close attention to them. Therefore, it is important to cherish this opportunity for practical experience, to study the knowledge related to the job thoroughly, to shed one’s intellectual airs as quickly as possible, and to get along well with the staff at the grassroots level in order to build a solid foundation among the people there. After gaining a genuine understanding of the operations for a particular position, as well as the equipment and processes involved, it is advisable to gain practical experience in operating those systems independently.
