Has the 5.5-meter rammer been successfully operated? What are the differences in actual operation compared to the 4.3-meter model, and what difficulties have been encountered?
There are quite a few 5.5-meter ramming coke ovens in use nowadays; the equipment includes models with four rings, those imported from Germany, as well as those produced by Dazhong – all of them are satisfactory.
I have the same question as the original poster: which 5.5-meter coke ovens are in operation successfully in places such as Shanxi, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, and Henan? What are their advantages over 4.3-meter ovens? Please give me some advice!

As far as I know, there are four plants in Shandong that are currently in operation, with the longest having been in operation for one year. Due to differences in design and manufacturing processes among various manufacturers, there is no comparability.
There are those with dual gas collection channels and those with wide carbonization chambers; the differences are significant. The main control parameters are generally the same as 4.3 meters. But everyone is still learning the ropes
The large vehicles put into operation in Shandong are mainly too heavy
The 5.5-meter rammed coke ovens in Shandong are mainly operated by Tiejiong Energy, Tiejiong Xinsha, Rigang, and Rongxin Coal Chemical. Tiejiong uses 75-hole 5.5-meter rammed coke ovens; these ovens were designed by the Second Research Institute of Chemical Engineering, and they are equipped with machinery from Taizhong. The gas collection systems are dual, and the dust removal for coke extraction is carried out using onboard dust collectors – no ground-based dust removal stations are installed. All 4 coke ovens (in two factories) have been put into operation. I haven’t come into contact with Nippon Steel’s version; the Jiaonai Research Institute designed a 5.5-meter ramming coke oven, but I’m not aware of the specific details ; Shandong Rongxin Coal Chemical uses a 5.5-meter ramming coke oven designed by the Coke and Fermentation Research Institute, is equipped with heavy-duty coke oven machinery, and has dust removal ground stations. The furnace is being heated up, with operation expected to begin in early May.

Since the commissioning of our plant, various problems have arisen {compared to 4.3 meters); after half a year of operation, things have stabilized, but the operating time per furnace still does not meet the design specifications. For the 2*55-hole setup, the current operating time per furnace is 24 minutes, resulting in 110 furnaces per batch. The main issue is that the operating time of the main conveyors does not meet the design requirements.
Xingtai Zhongmei Xuyang Coking uses furnaces with a capacity of 5.5. Designed by MCC CERAMIC, it was put into operation in March 2008 and is currently performing well.
The one from Pangang is imported from Germany; it is said to work quite well as well. .
