The types of railway tank cars in our country are quite complex; the G17 model currently in production has a body length of approximately 12.0 meters. The spacing required for the flexible hose is mainly determined by the distance between the loading quay and the tracks. Professional flexible hose manufacturers take into account the envelope of the flexible hose during design. As long as a safe distance between the pier and the tracks is ensured, that’s sufficient.
For refineries with large oil loading capacities, the spacing between dip pipes is generally 6 meters, with use on one side only. For ordinary oil depots, the spacing between dip pipes is 12 meters; dual use or single use can be considered.
