I found that there’s quite little information on this topic. I was wondering if anyone has any relevant information to share, so we can exchange ideas~
Cellulose acetate is a type of synthetic fiber produced by treating cellulose with acetic acid. Depending on the degree of esterification, it exists in forms such as mono-cellulose acetate (MCA), di-cellulose acetate (CA), and tri-cellulose acetate (TCA). Among these, the fiber strands obtained from di-cellulose acetate through spinning are considered the most ideal filtering material, and they are the main raw material used for producing cigarette filters worldwide. At present, the main manufacturers of cellulose acetate and cellulose acetate tow for tobacco use in China include Nantong Cellulose Acetate Co., Ltd., Guangdong Xinhui Cellulose Acetate Factory, Xi’an Hui’an Chemical Factory, Jilin Chemical Factory, Wuxi Film Factory, Baoding Film Factory, the Cellulose Acetate Testing Workshop of Guangdong Zhongshan Sugar Factory, Zhuhai Cellulose Acetate Company, Kunming Cellulose Acetate Company, and others.
