As a result, phased achievements have been made in achieving clean, garden-like production conditions in the mining area. Recently, with the completion and operation of five 10,000-ton coal silos, Wuyang Coal Mine has fully embarked on a path of cleaner production and operation. The coal brought up from the mine has been stored in the warehouse. Five 10,000-ton silos for raw coal have been built and put into use, along with two additional 10,000-ton silos for refined coal. The raw coal arrives via the main inclined shaft, and is transported and stored in a completely enclosed manner, without being exposed to the open air or coming into contact with the ground. Through enclosed, elevated belt conveyors, the raw coal is delivered to the coal processing plant and the raw coal silos, while the refined coal is sent to the refined coal silos. The medium-grade coal is used in the Wuyang Thermal Power Plant, resulting in a significant improvement in the sanitary conditions of the mining area. Gas extraction has been used to generate electricity. Gas drainage pump stations and gas power plants have been built and put into operation, with an annual power generation capacity of 7.2 million kWh. By late March, a total of 15.6 million kWh of electricity had been generated, generating economic benefits of nearly 7 million yuan. This project was the first in the world to achieve power generation using low-concentration gas at 6%-16%, and it was rated as \"internationally advanced\" by the Shanxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology. Once the waste heat utilization project is put into operation, this place will become an environmentally friendly, community-oriented, and efficient “international model park”. Gangue dumps need to be turned green. Since 2007, this mine has carried out comprehensive management of the waste rock dumps, with a total investment of 24 million yuan. Through methods such as grouting to extinguish fires, covering the waste rock with soil, applying loess, and constructing slope protections, the foundational works have been fully completed. Currently, efforts are being made to carry out greening and beautification efforts, and an ideal place for the employees’ families to relax and entertain will become a reality. Treated wastewater is pumped back up for reuse. The mine has established three systems for recycling wastewater: one is used for cooling the power plant and providing heating in winter after water treatment; another is used for irrigating plants and maintaining hygiene in the mining area; and the third involves reusing the treated water underground for dust control and firefighting purposes. Not a single drop of wastewater from the mine is discharged or wasted. The coal industry chain continues to expand. Leveraging the advantages of high-quality coal varieties available in this mine, a 2.4 million-ton heavy medium separation coal processing plant was expanded and put into operation, ensuring that 100% of the raw coal is processed ； The second phase of the 600,000-ton coking plant was completed and put into operation, expanding the market opportunities for selling refined coal ； Chemical production facilities such as tar, ammonium sulfate, sulfur, and crude benzene, as well as a gas distribution system matching the production capacity of the coking plant, have been built and put into operation; gas is supplied to nearly 10,000 households. It is understood that the remaining gas will be transported to the neighboring Tianji Lu’an Chemical Co., Ltd. for use in methanol production, ensuring that all the gas from the coking plant is utilized.
