Under the agreement, Yimei Group will, over the next few years, take control of the phased construction in Anzhou area of a coal mine with an annual production capacity of 10 million tons and a coal gasification plant with an annual output of 1.2 million tons. It will also build supporting power plants, coal washing plants, and projects for the comprehensive utilization of coal gangue. It is understood that in recent years, Yimei Group has been intensifying the integration of domestic coal resources while also actively seeking overseas cooperation projects. The coal joint enterprise in Anju region, North Korea, established in collaboration with Yimi Coal Group this time, is the largest coal production area in North Korea, boasting nearly 10 coal mines and abundant coal resources. Not long ago, a delegation composed of the North Korean Ministry of Trade, the Coal Science Academy, the North Korean Embassy in China, and the Anju Regional Coal Joint Enterprise visited sites such as the Gengcun Mine and Qianqiu New Building Materials Factory of Yima Coal Group, the Shunma Thermal Power Company, the Changcun Mine coal washing plant, and the Yima Gasification Plant, thereby laying the groundwork for both sides to reach a cooperation agreement.
