Must it also be within the usual flow rate range in standard pipes? :L
It generally cannot be greater than the standard flow rate, but it can be less than the standard flow rate. .
There are no particular requirements for our vent pipes; maybe our equipment is just too simple!
If it’s a liquid, there aren’t too many problems. Gases generally have flow speeds that are much higher than those of common gases, but noise issues must be addressed, such as by installing silencers
Generally, it is sufficient to choose based on the standard flow rate within the pipe. If rapid venting is required, it is recommended to use a larger vent pipe in order to increase the venting speed.
The pressure in the safety valve vent pipe dropped sharply, the flow rate increased rapidly, and eventually it approached the speed of sound! If it were at normal flow rates, the pipe would have to be enormous!
Generally, the flow velocity in the vent manifold should be controlled at no more than 0.5 Mach
