Pesticide wastewater is difficult to treat, and the treatment process is lengthy. Due to the generally poor biodegradability of wastewater and its unique physicochemical properties, intensive pretreatment is required. Moreover, many pesticide wastewater streams have high salt content, which increases the difficulty of treatment. At present, there is no single treatment process suitable for pesticide wastewater; instead, different processes are combined based on the characteristics of the wastewater or the raw materials used in production, along with various pretreatment methods, in order to ensure that the wastewater meets the required treatment standards.
