I see this sentence: \"If venting at 0.7 MPa/min cannot control the rapid rise in temperature, or if the reaction temperature exceeds the normal value by 28°C or reaches 425°C, start venting at 2.1 MPa/min and follow the emergency pressure relief procedure.\" " How should this sentence be understood: the reaction temperature exceeds the normal value by 28°C or reaches 425°C?
It refers to the bed temperature rise and bed temperature
A temperature exceeding 28 degrees above normal means 28 degrees higher than the normal operating temperature； Reaching 425 degrees means that the operating temperature has reached 425; 425 degrees is an interlock value ； Venting is initiated as long as either of these two conditions is met.
In other words, the emergency pressure relief system is activated once one of the above conditions is met. For example, the normal operating temperature is 390 degrees; if the temperature exceeds 28 degrees but only reaches 418 degrees, emergency pressure relief is still triggered. However, if the operating temperature is 410 degrees, then a rise of 15 degrees above the normal level brings the temperature to 425 degrees, and again, emergency pressure relief is activated.
