I’ve read some information on shell furnaces, and I’m unsure as to how many nozzles they actually have. I hope those who are familiar with this topic can provide an exact answer; it would be even better if there were a schematic diagram of such equipment available.

Ignition burner: 1. Operating burner: 1. Coal burners: It depends on the size of the gasifier; in most cases there are four. The Shell gasifier used in the Datang Dolun project has six coal burners.
One pilot burner and one operating burner are used; once operation is normal, they must be removed and sealed with nitrogen. I only know of four types of coal burners
This depends on the specific size of the furnace and its load; generally, there are four coal burners, one pilot burner, and one start-up burner.
It is determined based on the coal feeding rate and the diameter of the gasifier. Generally speaking, 2500 t/d is the dividing line between 4 burners and 6 burners, while 3500 t/d is the dividing line between 6 and 8 burners. However, when transportation conditions are a constraint, using multiple burners can reduce the diameter of the gasification furnace; therefore, in areas with poor transportation conditions, small-diameter burners in large numbers can be used, and vice versa.
There are six in total: one pilot burner, one start-up burner, and four coal burners. The pilot burner and the coal burners are on the same plane, while the start-up burner is located higher up, at an angle of about 15 degrees
