Plate heat exchangers are now being used more and more widely. From ordinary air conditioning and heating systems to those used in ships and offshore oil operations, they find successful application in a wide range of scenarios, from water-to-water heat exchange to processes involving sulfuric acid. So, where do people think are the harshest operating conditions? Let me share my experience: offshore platforms – CNOOC Xijiang Oil Field. The titanium plates are imported from Japan, the gaskets are imported from Sweden, and the paint is also imported; domestically produced gaskets may not be suitable for such use
We are in the rubber industry; chemical plants use relatively few plate heat exchangers there – most of them use shell and tube heat exchangers. I don’t know much about this area! Just passing by, giving a like: lol
The topic of the most severe operating conditions is too vague; it depends on the material used. For example, when used in seawater, plate heat exchangers made of stainless steel are subjected to the most severe conditions. But for titanium plates, it’s quite easy to handle such conditions.
