These valves generally require high performance; pneumatic actuators can be used when an air supply is available, to ensure that materials can be quickly shut off in case of emergencies such as fires or leaks. However, if electric actuators are used, there is a problem of slow response, and in the event of a power failure, the valve cannot operate. Electric systems are generally equipped with UPS power supplies. Almost all control valves are of the FC type, which operates by shutting off the gas supply; those that require the FO type need a dedicated gas storage tank. So there’s no need to worry about the issue raised by the original poster.
