We are a manufacturer of surfactants and require sulfur trioxide gas; therefore, we also have facilities for burning sulfur and producing acid, with an annual production capacity of 10,000 tons of sulfuric acid at 98% purity. I would like to compare the main blowers used in various sulfuric acid production plants, as I believe the energy consumption of our company’s main blower is too high. Below are some comparison parameters; please feel free to use them as a reference for comparisons within the same category. Air volume = 6,600 Nm3/hr; Pressure = 1.7 kilograms (higher pressure is required in subsequent reactors); Motor power = 420 KW. Blower manufacturer: Japanese IHI; Blower type: Centrifugal; Price of the main blower: Approximately 3 million RMB, which is equivalent to 0.72 million per KW. Are there any energy-saving features? A capacity of 10,000 tons per year is too small; for a capacity of 200,000 tons per year, the motor power required is 1,250 KW. Domestic blowers cost around 1.4 million yuan and can be used continuously for 3 to 5 years.
Main fan for acid production using 40,000 tons of pyrite: Model D400, with one-stage speed increase; the impeller is made of titanium alloy and rotates at 7250 rpm. Produced by Shenyang Blower Group, with a power output of 325 KW, an air flow rate of 25,500 cubic meters per hour, and a pressure head of 4 meters of water column. Main acid production fan for 100,000 tons of pyrite: Model D700, manufactured by Wuxi Blower Factory; the motor is directly connected, with a power output of 650 KW. The performance meets basic usage requirements; when the purification effect is poor, the maintenance cycle is shorter. The impellers in Wuxi are made of carbon steel, which is prone to corrosion and loss of balance, leading to excessive vibration!
It’s indeed too small. Domestic products are good; it would be best to calculate the fixed costs and operating costs first
Shenyang Blower Factory and Wuxi Blower Factory both produce products of good quality; the standard in China has also improved a lot these days.
