What power rating of motors on offshore platforms requires space heaters?

Does anyone know which standard specifies that motors on offshore platforms with a power rating above a certain level must be equipped with space heaters? I’m not sure whether it’s 7.5 KW or 5 KW. Which standard contains such provisions? Thank you.

I remember that a heater was needed, but I never paid attention to exactly how much it cost! I learned it!
It also depends on the requirements specified in the project’s documentation! The specifications for the foreign projects I am working on now require space heaters for systems of 2KW or higher. It seems that in China, space heaters with a capacity of 5KW or more are used everywhere!

Generally, a heater is installed only when the capacity is 11 kW or more!
You can take a look at the API RP specifications; there should be instructions there, along with the requirements specified in the owner’s specifications.
