I’m a beginner. I would like to ask: what is the difference in turning the manual handwheel of a control valve when there is pressure, for example 30 kilograms of pressure, compared to when there is no pressure?
There’s no difference; it’s just more strenuous! It becomes more and more difficult to climb higher.
It mainly depends on the pressure difference of the valve; generally, it takes more effort to turn the handwheel when the pressure difference is high
As a supplementary note, be sure to release the instrument air; otherwise, it will be more difficult to operate the switch.
The handwheel is used when the automatic actuator of the control valve fails; it should be placed in its designated position when not in use. When using the handwheel, the pressure difference before and after the control valve is the main factor to consider
There isn’t much difference; stress might just make it a bit harder
