What is the concept of pressure holding? What are the main reasons for it? This problem exists in the synthesis furnace; which other equipment also has this issue?
Pressure buildup should refer to the phenomenon of abnormally high pressure occurring in a certain device or section of pipeline due to the inability of the fluid to flow out properly; The main reasons for pressure buildup are: 1. The outlet valve is not fully open or its valve core has fallen off ; 2. The outlet pipeline is blocked by foreign objects ; 3. Excessive amount of material entering, exceeding its normal flow rate range, etc. This situation can occur with many pieces of equipment in ammonia synthesis plants; in our case, it most often happens in the carbonization towers.

The pressure buildup at the outlet of a centrifugal compressor can be fatal, as it very likely leads to surge in the compressor. The reason for the pressure buildup could be an obstructed outlet, insufficient air intake, a malfunctioning outlet shut-off valve or a detached valve core, as well as issues with subsequent processes.
