Protecting resources, safeguarding the environment, conserving energy, and improving efficiency are receiving increasing attention from modern enterprises. Our company is a chemical manufacturing enterprise. What are the specific requirements regarding the establishment of environmental management departments and the staffing for these roles?
There should be at least dedicated agencies and personnel. As for whether environmental protection functions are dedicated to a separate department or combined with safety functions, different companies handle this differently, and the same applies to personnel.
Our organization combines these functions into one entity; environmental management and safety management are handled together, with dedicated staff assigned to each area. The problem is that this institution has trouble coming up with a name: calling it the Office for Environmental Safety seems to emphasize only \"environmental\" safety, while somewhat neglecting other types of safety ； Take the Safety and Environment Office – its name sounds a bit awkward, just like the obstetrics and gynecology department in a hospital.
