This is likely due to the material in the upper and middle sections of the tower gradually descending toward the bottom of the tower; as the amount of steam supplied decreases significantly, the material in the tower descends more rapidly, which in turn causes the liquid level to rise quickly. Later, as the bottom pump pumped fluid and the amount of material descending within the tower gradually decreased, the level of material at the bottom of the tower also dropped, along with the temperature of the liquid.
This is probably a problem related to automatic adjustment. Automatic control is designed to regulate flow rates under normal, stable conditions; a sudden change in the flow rate acts like a signal disturbance, and it takes some time for the automatic control system to eliminate this disturbance and resume normal regulation. In our factory, there have been instances where, due to disturbances in the automatic control system, the valves lost control and their opening degree kept fluctuating between 0 and 100. When inquired about the instrumentation issue, it was explained that this phenomenon is rare and difficult to resolve; efforts should be made to minimize sudden drastic changes.
