I am going to another factory for a study visit* and would like to ask what I should learn in terms of process management? Or what should one pay attention to?
In fact, every factory has a sound process management system; the key lies in implementation and in how each employee carries out their duties. For example, when going to the production facility, one can observe the hygiene conditions on site, the use of personal protective equipment by the operators, the cleanliness of the control rooms, the way operation records are kept, and the morale of the employees ； Is there always someone coming in and out of the factory area at any time? ； Furthermore, the device’s energy and material consumption metrics can also reflect the management level of the factory as well as the degree of compliance among its employees.
Agree with the view on the second floor. When you go for an inspection visit, you will definitely be accompanied by management staff from the manufacturer, who are well-prepared; as a result, what you learn might be only superficial information. It is recommended to move away from managers and talk more with those who are actually doing the work; the truth is often found at the grassroots level.
It’s difficult to see the true nature of a factory in a short period of time; many aspects of corporate culture can only be observed on the surface, and it’s hard to put them into practice!
