The key technologies for coal indirect liquefaction to produce oil include: catalysts, three-phase slurry bed reaction engineering (including reactors), and liquid-solid filtration systems (also known as product wax and catalyst separation systems).
The core component is, of course, the Fischer-Tropsch reactor. The technology already exists, but with low oil prices at present, production would result in losses!
