The impact of fuselage welding on bearing bushes

Among the projects I manage, there is one that involves the installation of centrifugal air compressors. When the construction team submitted their construction plan, I emphasized that welding must not be carried out on the compressor body until lubricant has been added to the unit and the auxiliary oil pump has been started, in order to avoid arcing between the rotor shaft and the bearing shells, which could damage those bearings. However, the on-site workers welded a bottom wire to the airframe without obtaining permission. Since the manufacturer requires that welding be carried out carefully on the machine body, we have always followed this requirement during actual construction. However, this mistake occurred, so I would like to ask if it is necessary to inspect the gearboxes of each unit. Additionally, I wonder if any of you have encountered similar issues in previous work; I would be very grateful if you could provide relevant examples.
