The temperature in the upper part of the radiation section of the tubular furnace is between 470 and 500 degrees, while it is 560 degrees in the convection section. The pressure of the saturated steam entering is 3.5 kilograms per square centimeter; after superheating, this pressure drops to 2.5 kilograms per square centimeter. Meanwhile, the temperature of the superheated steam entering the stripping tower remains around 230 degrees, with very low moisture content in the steam. The temperature of the oil-rich stream is around 170 degrees. What is the reason for such a low temperature of the superheated steam?
Is there a problem with the steam flow meter or the superheated steam thermometer?
If it weren’t for the flow meter issue, and production were running normally, then continuing as it is would be fine. If the distillates cannot be completely recovered due to insufficient heat in the tower, it’s worth considering whether there is steam leakage inside the tower.
It’s also possible that the steam pipe inside the furnace is too thick
It’s not just that the temperature of the superheated steam is low; the temperature of the oil-rich stream is also not high.
Are there any issues with the temperature sensors? Another thing is the steam volume – is it matched to the oil richness?
A steam discharge pipe is installed on the superheated steam pipeline at the bottom of the tower to increase the amount of superheated steam discharged
I suggest that in addition to checking equipment such as thermometers and the heating area, the key point is to note that superheated steam is primarily used for regenerating the oil in the regenerator; it is not used directly in the benzene removal tower for distillation. Is the tube of a tubular furnace a vertical tube? Try adjusting the gas flow on the side of the steam vertical pipe, and extend the flame to see
