One of the Scrolls of Parchment: Today, I begin a new life. Today, I emerge from the calluses caused by failures and setbacks. Today, I return to this world; I was born in a vineyard, where the grapes there are available for everyone to enjoy. Today, I am to pick the fruits of wisdom from the highest and thickest vines, vines that were planted by sages from generations ago. Today, I will taste the sweetness of grapes and swallow every successful seed, allowing new life to sprout within me. The path I have chosen is full of opportunities, but also of hardships and despair. There are countless companions who have failed, and when piled together, their numbers exceed even those of the pyramids. However, I will not fail like them, because I have a map in my hands that can guide me across the turbulent seas to reach the shore of my dreams. Failure will no longer be the price of my struggles; it and pain will both disappear from my life. Failure and I are like fire and water – completely incompatible. I no longer accept them as I used to. Guided by wisdom, I will step out of the shadow of failure and enter a realm of abundance, health, and happiness—things that exceed my former dreams. If only I could live forever, I could learn everything, but I cannot live eternally; therefore, within this limited life, I must learn the art of patience, for nature always acts with calmness. It takes a hundred years for the Creator to grow the king of trees, the olive tree, while an onion withers in just nine weeks. I no longer long for that onion-like lifestyle; I want to become the king of all trees—the olive tree—and the greatest salesman in real life. How is that possible? I lack both profound knowledge and extensive experience; moreover, I once fell into the abyss of ignorance and self-pity. The answer is simple. I won’t let so-called knowledge or experience get in the way of my journey. The Creator has endowed me with sufficient knowledge and instincts; these gifts are beyond what other creatures can possess. The value of experience is often overestimated; as people age, what they say is often full of nonsense. To be honest, experience can indeed teach us a lot, but it takes too much time to do so. By the time people gain wisdom, its value has already diminished over time. As a result, the more experience one has, the less time is left in their life. Experience is related to fashion – behaviors that were appropriate for a certain era do not necessarily still work today. Only principles are enduring, and I now possess such principles. These principles, which can guide me to success, are all written down on these scrolls. They teach me how to avoid failure, not only how to achieve success, for success is more of a mental state. People have different definitions of success, but failure usually has only one meaning: it means that a person fails to reach his life goals, no matter what those goals may be. In fact, the biggest difference between success and failure lies in different *habits. Good habits are the key to success, while bad habits are a door leading to failure. Therefore, the first thing I need to do is develop good *habits and commit myself wholeheartedly to putting them into practice. When I was young, I often acted on impulse. As I grew up, I decided to replace those impulsive actions with good habits. My free will has given in to vices cultivated over the years, which threaten my future. My behavior is influenced by taste, emotions, biases, desires, love, fear, the environment, and *habits, among which *habits have the greatest impact. Therefore, if I must be governed by habits, then let me be governed by good habits. Those bad habits must be abandoned; I want to sow good seeds in new fields. I need to develop good *habits and commit myself wholeheartedly to putting them into practice. This is not an easy task; how can it be accomplished? It can be done with these scrolls. Because each volume contains a principle that enables one to abandon a bad habit and replace it with a good one, thereby helping one to progress and achieve success. This is also one of the laws of nature: only one *habit* can suppress another *habit*. Therefore, in order to follow the path I have chosen, the first habit I must develop is to spend thirty days reading each scroll before moving on to the next. Get up early in the morning and silently recite ; After lunch, read silently again ; Before going to bed at night, read aloud. The situation was exactly the same on the second day. After repeating this for thirty days, the next volume can be opened. Each volume is read in the same manner for thirty days, and over time, it becomes a* habit. What are the benefits of these* habits? Here lies the secret to human success. As I repeated these words every day, they became part of my mental activities; more importantly, they penetrated my soul. It is a mysterious world, never at rest, creating dreams that influence my behavior without me even realizing it. When the words on these scrolls were fully absorbed by my wonderful mind, I would wake up full of energy every day. I have never been this energetic. I am more energetic and passionate; my desire to challenge the world has overcome all fears and anxieties. In this world full of strife and sorrow, I am actually happier than before. In the end, I’ll find a way to deal with everything. Soon, these methods will be able to be used effortlessly. After all, any method, with enough practice*, becomes simple and easy to apply. After repeating it many times, a seemingly complex behavior becomes easy to perform; doing it brings endless pleasure, and with that pleasure, out of human nature, I am more inclined to do it often. Thus, a good *habit was born.* The habit became natural. It is both a good *habit and also my desire. Today, I begin a new life. I solemnly swear that I will not let anything stand in the way of the growth of this new life of mine. While reading these scrolls, I will never waste a single day, for time goes by forever, and lost days cannot be made up for. I will also never break the habit of reading every day. In fact, spending a little time each day on these new habits is a trivial cost compared to the happiness and success that can be achieved. When reading the words in the scrolls, one must never overlook the depth of their meaning just because of the conciseness of the wording. A bottle of fine grape wine is made from thousands of grapes, with the skins and seeds given to the birds. The wisdom of grapes is passed down from generation to generation; some is filtered out, some is discarded, and it drifts away with the wind. Only pure truth is eternal. They are condensed in the text I am about to read. I will follow the instructions, waste nothing, and drink the seeds of success. Today, my calluses turned to dust. I stride through the crowd with my head held high; no one will recognize me, because I am no longer the person I used to be – I now have a new life. Scribal Roll 2: I will welcome today with love from the bottom of my heart. Because this is the greatest secret to all success. Force can shatter a shield or even destroy life, but only love possesses an unparalleled power to open people’s hearts. Before mastering the art of love, I was nothing but an unknown figure in the business world. I will make love my greatest weapon; no one can withstand its power. My theory is that they might object ; They might doubt my words ; My clothing, they might not approve of it ; They might not like my appearance ; Even the goods I sell at low prices might make them skeptical, yet my love will surely warm them, just as the light of the sun can melt frozen soil. I will welcome today with wholehearted love. What should I do? From now on, I must approach everything with love, so as to achieve a new beginning. I love the sun; it warms my body ; I love rain. It cleanses my soul ; I love light; it shows me the way ; I love the night too; it allows me to see the stars, it brings me joy, and it broadens my heart ; I endure sorrow; it elevates my soul ; I accept payment. Because I’ve shed sweat for this ; I’m not afraid of difficulties, because they present me with challenges. I will welcome today with wholehearted love. How should I put it? I praise the enemy. The enemy thus became a friend ; I encouraged my friend, and thus they became brothers. I should always think of reasons to praise others, and never spread gossip or talk about others’ faults. When you want to criticize someone, hold back; when you want to praise someone, express it loudly. Don’t all the birds, gentle breezes, waves, and everything in nature sing beautiful songs to praise the Creator? I too will praise her children with the same song. From now on, I will keep this secret in mind. It will change my life. I will welcome today with wholehearted love. What should I do? I want to appreciate the words and actions of everyone, because everyone has admirable qualities, though they may not be easy to notice sometimes. I want to use love to destroy the walls that imprison people’s hearts, those walls filled with doubt and hatred. I want to build a bridge leading to people’s hearts. I love ambitious people; they inspire me. I love those who fail; they teach me lessons. I love princes, nobles, and generals, because they are also mortals. I love humble people, because they are extraordinary. I love the rich because they are lonely. I love the poor. Because there are too many poor people. I love teenagers because they are sincere. I love the elderly because they are wise. I love beautiful people, because their eyes reveal a sense of melancholy. I love ugly people because they have peaceful hearts. I will welcome today with wholehearted love. How should I respond to others' behavior? With love. Love is the key that opens people’s hearts, and it is also the shield that protects me from arrows of hatred and spears of anger. Love turns setbacks into something as gentle as spring rain; it is my talisman in the business world: when I am alone. Give me your support ; When I’m in despair, it helps me stay strong ; When I’m in ecstasy, calm me down. This compassion will grow stronger day by day, becoming more and more protective, until one day I can face all living beings with ease and composure. I will greet today with love from body and soul. How should I deal with everyone I meet? There is only one way: I must silently bless him in my heart. This silent love will shine in my eyes, be reflected in my expression, bring a smile to my lips, and resonate in my voice. In this helpless affection, he opened his heart to me and stopped rejecting the goods I offered for sale. I will welcome today with wholehearted love. Most importantly, I need to love myself. Only in this way will I carefully examine every aspect of the deceased person’s body, thoughts, spirit, mind, soul, and everything within their heart. I will by no means indulge the desires of the flesh; instead, I will cherish my body through purity and moderation. I will never allow my mind to be tempted by evil and despair; I will use wisdom and knowledge to elevate it. I will never allow my soul to fall into complacency; I will nourish it with reflection and prayer. I will never allow my heart to be narrow-minded; I will share it with others to let it grow and warm the whole world. I will welcome today with wholehearted love. From now on, I will love everyone. Hate will flow away from my veins. I don’t have time to hate; I only have time to love. Now, I take the first step toward becoming a better person. With love, I will become a great salesman; even if I lack talent and wisdom, I can achieve success through love ; On the contrary, without love, even great knowledge will ultimately lead to failure. I will welcome today with wholehearted love. Scroll 3: Persevere until success. In the ancient East, there was a specific procedure for selecting young bulls to fight in the arena. They were brought into the arena and attacked by bullfighters armed with spears, and the referee would assess the bravery of each bull based on the number of times it attacked the bullfighter after being pierced. From now on, I must admit that my life is faced with similar trials every day. If I remain perseverant and move forward bravely to meet these challenges, then I will surely succeed. Persevere until success. I was not born into this world to fail, nor does blood of failure flow in my veins. I am not a lamb for anyone to whip; I am a fierce lion that does not keep company with sheep. I don’t want to hear the cries of the disappointed or the complaints of those who complain; they are a plague among the flock, and I cannot be infected by it. The slaughterhouse of the losers is not my fate. Persevere until success. The rewards of life lie far at the end of the journey, not near the starting point. I don’t know how many steps it will take to reach the goal. Even when I take the first thousand steps, failure is still possible. But success is hidden around the corner; unless I turn, I’ll never know how far it is. Take another step; if that doesn’t work, take another step forward. In fact, making a little progress each time is not too difficult. Persevere until success. From now on, I admit that the struggles of each day are like attempts to cut down a towering tree; the first few cuts may leave no trace at all. Each strike may seem insignificant, but over time, a giant tree will eventually fall. This is just like my efforts today. Just like the raindrops that erode mountains, the ants that devour tigers, the stars that illuminate the earth, and the slaves who built the pyramids, I too will build my own castle, brick by brick. For I understand the principle that persistence can wear through anything; with determination, anything is possible. I will keep going until I succeed. I will never consider failure; words like giving up, impossible, unachievable, problematic, failure, ineffective, hopeless, retreating… such foolish terms no longer exist in my dictionary. I will try my best to avoid despair, and whenever it threatens me, I will immediately find ways to confront it. I will work hard and endure hardships. I look forward to the future and move forward bravely, ignoring the obstacles in my path. I firmly believe that there must be an oasis at the end of the desert. I will persevere until success is achieved. I must keep the ancient law of balance firmly in mind and encourage myself to persevere, for every failure increases the chances of success next time. This rejection is the approval of the next time; this frown is the smiling face of the next time. Today’s misfortunes often herald good fortune tomorrow. Night fell. Reflect on the events of the day. I am always grateful. I know full well that only by failing many times can one succeed. Persevere until success. I’ll try, try again, and try once more. Obstacles are detours on my path to success; I embrace this challenge. I want to sail through the waves like a sailor. Persevere until success. From now on, I will learn from the secrets to others’ success. I don’t care about past successes or failures; I simply hold onto the belief that tomorrow will be better. When I’m exhausted, I have to resist the urge to go home and try again. I keep trying again and again, striving for success every day and avoiding failure. I want to sow the seeds for tomorrow’s success, so as to surpass those who proceed step by step. While others stay stagnant, I keep striving; one day I will reap the rewards. " Persevere until success. I am not satisfied with yesterday’s success, for it is a precursor to failure. I want to forget everything from yesterday; good or bad, let it all go with the wind. I am full of confidence as I embrace the new day, believing that \"today is the best day of my life.\" As long as I am still breathing, I will persevere to the end, for I know well the secret to success: perseverance leads to success in the end. Scroll 4: I am the greatest miracle of nature. Since God created the heavens and all things on earth, no one has ever been like me; my mind, heart, eyes, ears, hands, hair, and lips are all unique. There has never been, nor is there now, nor will there ever be anyone whose words and behavior are exactly like mine. Although all people in the world are brothers, each one is different. I am a unique creation of nature. I am the greatest miracle of nature. I cannot be satisfied as easily as an animal; there is a flame that has been passed down through generations within me, and it motivates me to go beyond my limits. I want to make this flame burn brighter, so as to declare to the world my excellence. No one can imitate my handwriting, my brand, my achievements, or my sales skills. From now on, I will fully develop my personality, because it is a key asset that will help me succeed. I am the greatest miracle of nature. I no longer try in vain to imitate others; instead, I aim to show my own personality. I not only need to promote it, but also sell it. I need to learn to coexist with differences, emphasize my uniqueness, avoid common traits shared by others, and apply this principle to products. Both salespeople and goods have their own distinct qualities, and I am proud of that. I am a unique miracle. Rarity makes things valuable. I am unique in my ways, and that makes my value a hundredfold. I am the ultimate product of millions of years of evolution, with a mind and body surpassing those of past emperors and sages. But. My skills, my mind, my spirit, and my body – if not utilized properly – will become dull, deteriorate, and even die over time. My potential is endless; with a little effort in developing my mental and physical abilities, I can surpass any achievements of the past. Starting from today. I am going to develop my potential. I no longer boast about my performance from yesterday, nor do I brag over trivial achievements. I can do better than what has already been done. My birth was not the last miracle; why can’t I create miracles myself? I am the greatest miracle of nature. I did not come into this world by chance. I was born to be a mountain. and not something insignificant. From now on, I will do my utmost to reach the pinnacle among all others. I will bring my potential to its fullest expression. I will learn from the experiences of those who came before me, understand myself as well as the products in my possession, so as to increase sales exponentially. I need to choose my words carefully and consider carefully the language to use when making sales pitches. Because this is the key to achieving success in business. I will never forget that many successful businessmen actually have only one set of arguments to offer. It can make them invincible wherever they go. I also need to keep improving my manners and demeanor, as these are virtues that attract others. I am the greatest miracle of nature. I need to focus entirely on the challenges ahead; my actions will keep me from thinking about anything else, so that household matters won’t distract me. Being in the mall, one should not miss home, otherwise it will dull my mind. On the other hand, when I am with my family, I must leave work outside the door, otherwise it will make them feel neglected. There is no place in the business world that belongs to one’s family, and similarly, there is no place at home for discussing business matters; these two areas must be kept strictly separate, otherwise it’s difficult to focus on either one. This is a misconception that many people find hard to overcome. I am the greatest miracle of nature. I have eyes to observe ; I have a mind that can think. Now I have understood a great mystery of life. I have realized that all problems, frustrations, and sorrows are actually opportunities in disguise. I am no longer deceived by their appearance; I have opened my eyes and seen through their disguises. I am the greatest miracle of nature. Neither birds nor beasts, nor flowers nor trees, nor winds, rains, mountains, rocks, rivers, or lakes have such a origin as mine—I was born out of love, carrying a mission. I ignored this fact in the past; from now on, it will shape my character and guide my life. I am the greatest miracle of nature. Nature knows nothing of failure; it always emerges as the winner. I must do the same, for once success comes, it will return again. I will succeed; I will become a great salesman, because I am unique in the world. I am the greatest miracle of nature. Scribal Roll V: Suppose today is the last day of my life. How should I make use of this last, most precious day? First, I need to cherish every moment of the day and not let a single second slip away. I do not sigh over yesterday’s misfortunes; the past has been unfortunate enough; let’s not risk our luck today as well. Can time go backward? Does the sun rise in the west and set in the east? Can I correct my mistake from yesterday? Can I heal the wounds of yesterday? Can I be younger than yesterday? Can the pain caused by a harsh word spoken, a fist thrown, or anything else of that kind be taken back? No! The past is gone forever; I no longer think about it. What if today were the last day of my life? What should I do? Forget yesterday, and do not dwell on tomorrow. Tomorrow is an unknown; why waste today’s energy on something uncertain? Thinking about tomorrow, today’s time passes uselessly as well. I long for the sun to rise again this morning; it has already set. Walking on today’s path, can I do things that belong to tomorrow? Can I put tomorrow’s gold coins into today’s purse? If the melon will be ripe tomorrow, can its stem fall today? Can tomorrow’s death cast a shadow over today’s joy? Can I be worrying needlessly? Yesterday was buried by me, just like tomorrow. I don’t want to think about it anymore. Today is the last day of my life. It is the only day I have, the eternity of reality. I, like a prisoner whose death sentence has been pardoned, embrace the newly risen sun with tears of joy. I raised my hands, thanking for this incredible day. When I think of the friend who shared the sunrise with me yesterday and is no longer here today, I am grateful to God for my own survival. I am an incredibly lucky person; today’s time is an extra reward. Many strong ones have gone before me; why have I been given this extra day? Is it because they have already accomplished their task, while I am still on my way? If that’s the case, isn’t this an opportunity for me to achieve success and earn merit? Is the Creator’s arrangement ingenious? Is today my chance to surpass others? Today is the last day of my life. Life is only once, and one’s existence is nothing but the accumulation of time. If I let today’s time pass uselessly, it’s as if I’m destroying the last page of my life. Therefore, I cherish every moment of today, for they will never return. I can’t deposit it in the bank today and come back to withdraw it tomorrow. Time is as elusive as the wind. Every moment, I must hold it in my hands and caress it with love, for they are so precious. A dying person cannot exchange all the wealth of their life for a single breath of life. I cannot calculate the value of time; it is priceless ; Today is the last day of my life. I hate those behaviors that waste time. I will destroy the habit of procrastination. I will bury doubt with sincerity and drive away fear with confidence. I don’t listen to gossip, I’m not idle, and I don’t associate with people who are not diligent in their work. I finally realized that being lazy is the same as stealing food and clothes from those I love. I’m not a thief; I have a kind heart. Today is my last chance to prove my kindness and greatness. Today is the last day of my life. I will finish everything today. Today, while the children are still young, I need to take better care of them; tomorrow they will leave me, and I too will leave. Today I want to embrace my wife tenderly and give her sweet kisses; tomorrow she will leave, and so will I. Today I will help my friend in trouble; tomorrow he will no longer ask for help, and I will no longer hear his pleas. I must be willing to give, for tomorrow I will be unable to give, and there will be no one to receive it. Today is the last day of my life. If this is my end, then it will be an immortal anniversary; I consider it to be the best day of all. I will turn every minute and second into nectar, savoring it bit by bit with deep gratitude. I want every minute to be valuable. I will double my efforts until I’m exhausted. Even so, I will keep working hard. I need to visit more customers, sell more goods, and earn more money. Every minute of today is better than every hour of yesterday; the last one is also the best. If today were the last day of my life, if not, I would kneel before the heavens and express my deepest gratitude. Serpent Scroll 6: Today I learned to control my emotions. Tides come and go, winter gives way to spring, summer ends and autumn arrives; the sun rises and sets, the moon waxes and wanes, geese fly in and out, flowers bloom and wither. Everything in nature is subject to continuous cycles of change, and I am no exception – my moods also fluctuate from time to time. Today I learned to control my emotions. It is a joke of nature, and few people can see through its mysteries. Every day when I wake up, I no longer have the old feelings. Yesterday’s joy turns into today’s sorrow, and today’s sadness transforms into tomorrow’s joy. A wheel keeps spinning in my heart, shifting from joy to sorrow, from sorrow to happiness, and from happiness to worry. It’s like the changes in flowers: the withered flowers of today contain the seeds of new growth tomorrow, and today’s sadness foreshadows tomorrow’s happiness. Today I learned to control my emotions. How can I control my emotions to be productive every day? Unless I stay calm, another day of failure awaits me. Plants and trees grow in response to changes in climate, but I create my own weather. I must learn to use my own heart to make up for the shortcomings of the climate. If I bring storm, gloom, darkness, and pessimism to my customers, they will respond with storm, gloom, darkness, and pessimism in turn, and they won’t buy anything. On the contrary, if I bring joy, happiness, light, and laughter to my customers, they will in turn give me joy, happiness, light, and laughter, and I will be able to achieve great sales success and earn plenty of gold coins. Today I learned to control my emotions. How can I control my emotions and fill every day with happiness and joy? I must learn this timeless secret: the weak let their thoughts control their actions, while the strong let their actions control their thoughts. Every day when I wake up surrounded by feelings of sadness, self-pity, and failure, I confront them in this way: when I feel depressed, I sing out loud. When I’m sad, I laugh heartily. When I’m sick, I work double time. When afraid, I move forward bravely. When I feel inferior, I put on new clothes. When I’m uneasy, I raise my voice. When I was in poverty, I imagined a wealthy future. When I feel overwhelmed, I think back to past successes. When I feel inferior to myself, I think about my goals. In short, today I need to learn to control my emotions. From now on, I understand that only fools run out of ideas; I am not a fool, and I must constantly fight against those forces that try to bring me down. Disappointment and sadness are easily recognizable, while many other enemies are not so easy to detect. They often wear smiles, but they can crush us at any moment. We can never relax our vigilance against them. When I am arrogant, I seek the memories of failure. When I'm in high spirits, I must remember the days of hunger. When I'm feeling proud, I need to think about my competitors. When feeling complacent, do not forget the moments of humiliation. When you’re full of arrogance, see if you can make the wind stop. When you are wealthy, think of those who go hungry. When you are proud and complacent, think of the times when you were timid. When I was at the height of my power, I would look up at the stars. Today I learned to control my emotions. With this new skill, I can also better sense others’ emotional changes. I tolerate angry people, for they have not yet learned to control their emotions; I can endure their accusations and insults, knowing that they will change tomorrow and become more gentle again. I no longer judge a person based on a superficial acquaintance, nor do I break off relationships out of momentary resentment. Someone who refuses to spend a single penny on a golden carriage today might be willing to give away all their possessions in exchange for tree seedlings tomorrow. Knowing this secret, I can gain great wealth. Today I learned to control my emotions. From then on, I understood the mystery of human emotional changes. I no longer let my ever-changing personality take control; I know that only by actively managing my emotions can I take control of my own destiny. I control my own destiny, and my destiny is to become the greatest salesman in the world! I became my own master. I became great through this. Serpent Scroll VII: I will laugh across the world. Only humans laugh. Trees also bleed when they are injured, and birds and beasts cry out in pain and hunger; yet only I possess the gift of laughter, allowing me to laugh heartily at any time. From now on, I will cultivate the habit of smiling. Laughter aids digestion, it reduces stress, and laughter is the secret to a long life. Now I have finally mastered it. I will make the whole world laugh. I laugh at myself, because those who are too proud of themselves often appear ridiculous. We must under no circumstances fall into this mental trap; though we are the greatest miracle of the Creator, am I not just a drop in the ocean? Do I really know where I come from and where I’m going? Will the things I’m concerned about now seem foolish in ten years? Why should I let trivial matters that are happening now bother me? How many memories of sunsets can be preserved throughout this long history? I will make the whole world laugh. When I’m offended by others, when things go wrong for me, I only cry and curse; how can I laugh? There is a wise saying that I must practice over and over again until it becomes ingrained in my very being, allowing me to express it effortlessly and maintaining a positive mindset forever. This phrase, passed down from ancient times, will accompany me through difficult times and help maintain balance in my life. This wise saying is: It will all pass. I will make the whole world laugh. All things in the world will eventually become part of the past. When I have heart failure, I comfort myself by thinking that it will all pass; when I am proud of my successes, I remind myself that it will all pass. When I was in dire straits, I told myself that it would all pass. When I was extremely wealthy, I told myself that it would all pass. Yes, the people who built the pyramids in ancient times have long since passed away, buried beneath cold stones, and one day the pyramids too will be buried under sand. If everything in this world is ultimately empty, why should I worry so much about gains and losses today? I will make the whole world laugh. I will adorn today with laughter, and I will illuminate the night with songs. I no longer strive to find happiness; I want to forget my sorrow amidst my busy work. I want to enjoy the happiness of today; it can’t be stored like food, nor does it become more flavorful with age like fine wine. I don’t live for the future. Sow today, harvest today. I will make the whole world laugh. Amidst laughter, everything reveals its true nature. I laugh at my failures; they will turn into clouds of dreams ; I laugh at my own success; they return to their true nature ; I laughed wickedly; they fled away from me ; I smile with kindness; they promote it. I want to infect others with my smile; although my motive is selfish, it is indeed the key to success, because frowning will make customers turn away from me. I will make the whole world laugh. From now on, I will only shed tears of happiness; tears of sorrow, regret, and failure are worthless in the world of business. Only a smile can bring wealth, and kind words can build a castle. I no longer allow myself to forget how to laugh at myself and everything around me just because I become important, smart, respectable, or powerful. On this point, I want to remain like a child forever, because only by being a child again can I respect others; by respecting others, I won’t become arrogant. I will make the whole world laugh. As long as I can laugh, I will never be poor. It’s also a talent; I won’t waste it any longer. Only in laughter and joy can I enjoy the fruits of my labor. If I don’t do this, I will fail, because happiness is the fine wine that adds flavor. To enjoy success, one must first have happiness, and laughter is the bridesmaid. I want to be happy. I must succeed. I want to become the greatest salesman in the world. Scribal Scroll Eight: Today I will place even greater emphasis on my own value. Mulberry leaves turn into silk in the hands of a genius. Clay becomes a fortress in the hands of a genius. The cypress tree became a palace in the hands of a genius. Wool turns into a robe in the hands of a genius. If mulberry leaves, clay, cypress trees, and wool can have their value increased by hundreds or thousands of times through human creation, then why can’t I increase my own value by a hundred times? Today I need to place even greater emphasis on my own value. My fate is like a grain of wheat, with three different paths. A wheat grain may be put into a sack, piled on a shelf, waiting to feed pigs ; It might also be ground into flour to make bread ; It can also be spread in the soil to allow it to grow, until hundreds or thousands of grains form on the golden wheat ears. The only difference between me and a wheat grain is that the wheat grain cannot choose whether to rot, to be turned into bread, or to grow. And I have the freedom to choose; I will not let my life rot, nor will I let it be crushed under rocks of failure and despair, at the mercy of others. Today I need to place even greater emphasis on my own value. For wheat grains to grow and bear fruit, they must be planted in dark soil; my failures, disappointments, ignorance, and incompetence are that dark soil. I must sink deep into it and wait for maturity. Nourished by the sun and rain, the wheat grains eventually sprout, bloom, and bear fruit. Similarly, I also need to strengthen my body and mind in order to realize my dreams. Wheat grains must wait for the opportunities provided by nature to mature, but I need not wait, for I have the ability to choose my own destiny. Today I need to place even greater emphasis on my own value. How can this be achieved? First of all, I want to thank you for every day, every week, every month. Set goals every year, and even throughout my life. Just as seeds need the moisture of rain to break through the soil and sprout leaves, my life also needs a purpose in order to bear fruitful results. When setting goals, it might be useful to refer to past best results in order to build on them. This must become the goal of my life in the future. Never worry about setting too high goals. If you aim for the highest, you will achieve the middle; if you aim for the middle, you will achieve the lower. Today I need to place even greater emphasis on my own value. Lofty goals will not intimidate us, although we may face setbacks many times before achieving them. I fall down and get back up again; I’m not discouraged, because everyone faces setbacks before reaching their goal. Only the little crawler doesn’t have to worry about falling. I’m not a little crawler, I’m not an onion, I’m not a sheep. I am alone. Let others make their clay caves; I’m going to build a castle. Today I need to place even greater emphasis on my own value. The sun warms the earth, and the wheat grains sprout and bear fruit. The words on these scrolls also illuminate my life and help turn dreams into reality. Today I will surpass yesterday’s achievements. I will do my utmost to reach today’s peak and go even further tomorrow. It’s not important to surpass others; it’s most important to surpass oneself. Today I need to place even greater emphasis on my own value. The spring breeze ripens the wheat ears, and its sound carries my voice to the ears of those who are willing to listen. I want to declare my goal. A gentleman’s word is binding; even four horses cannot retract it. I want to be my own prophet. Although people might laugh at my words, they will listen to my plans and understand my dreams; therefore, I have nowhere to go until I fulfill my promises. Today I need to place even greater emphasis on my own value. I can’t lower my goals. I’m going to do something that losers despise. I don’t stay within what’s within my capabilities. I am not satisfied with my current achievements; I set a higher goal once the current one is achieved. I will strive to make the next moment better than this one. I must constantly declare my goals to the world. But I never boast about my achievements. Let the world praise me; may I receive it wisely and humbly. Today I need to place even greater emphasis on my own value. A single wheat grain, after increasing several times over, can turn into thousands of wheat seedlings; these seedlings can then be increased several times more, and after doing this dozens of times, they can feed all the cities in the world. Am I less than a grain of wheat? When I finish this, I will keep going. When the words on the scroll come true in me, the world will marvel at my greatness. Serpent Scroll Nine: My fantasies are worthless, my plans are as insignificant as dust, and my goals are unattainable. Everything is meaningless—unless we take action. I’ll take action right now. A map, no matter how detailed or its scale how precise, can never carry its owner half a step across the ground. A ** law, no matter how just, can never prevent evil from occurring. Any manual, even the parchment in my hands, can never create wealth. Only action can give meaning to maps, laws, manuals, dreams, plans, and goals. Action, like food and water, nourishes me and helps me succeed. I’ll take action right now. Procrastination holds me back; it stems from fear. Now, from the depths of all brave hearts, I understand this secret. I know that to overcome fear, one must act without hesitation; only in this way can the anxiety in one’s heart be calmed. Now I know that action turns the fear of a lion into a calmness like that of an ant. I’ll take action right now. From now on, I will remember the lesson from the fireflies: only by flapping their wings can they emit light. I want to become a firefly; even on bright sunny days, I will emit light. Let others, like butterflies, flap their wings and live off the bounty of flowers ; I want to be a firefly to illuminate the earth. I’ll take action right now. I do not leave today’s tasks for tomorrow, because I know that tomorrow will never come. Take action now! Even if my actions do not bring happiness or success, it’s better to try and fail than to sit idly by. Action may not bear happy fruits, but without action, no fruits can be reaped. I’ll take action right now. Take action now. Take action now. Take action now. From now on, I will repeat this sentence over and over again, at all times, until it becomes a habit, just like breathing; until it turns into an instinct, just like blinking. With these words, I can adjust my mindset and face every challenge that losers avoid. I’ll take action right now. I repeat this sentence over and over again. When I wake up in the early morning, losers linger in bed, but I must repeat these words to myself and then get started. I’ll take action right now. When going out to make sales, while the losers are still wondering if they have been rejected, I keep this sentence in mind as I face the first customer who comes along. I’ll take action right now. Faced with the closed door, the loser waits outside, filled with fear and anxiety ; I silently recited those words, then stepped forward to knock on the door. I’ll take action right now. When faced with temptation, I recite these words and then stay away from sin. I’ll take action right now. Only action can determine my value in the business world. To double my value, I must double my efforts. I am going to the place that failures fear; while those who fail rest, I will keep working. While the loser remained silent, I stepped in to make sales pitches; I planned to visit ten households that might be interested in buying my products, whereas after coming up with a thorough plan, the loser only visited one household. When the losers think it’s too late, I can say it’s a complete success. I’ll take action right now. It’s all mine now. Tomorrow is a workday reserved for lazies; I am not lazy. Tomorrow is the day to abandon evil and embrace goodness; I am not evil. Tomorrow is the day when the weak become strong; I am not weak. Tomorrow is the day when losers make excuses for their failures; I am not a loser. I’ll take action right now. I am the lion, I am the eagle; I eat when hungry, I drink when thirsty. If nothing is done, there is only death. I long for success, happiness, and peace of mind. Unless I take action, I will die in days of failure, misfortune, and sleepless nights. I issue the command. I must obey my own orders. Success does not wait. If I hesitate, she will throw herself into someone else’s arms and leave me forever. At this time. Here. This person. I’ll take action right now. Scroll 10: Even those who have no faith, don’t they call upon God’s blessing in times of disaster? Doesn’t a person shout when faced with danger, death, or some mysterious thing they have never seen or cannot understand? Where does this strong instinct, which every living being expresses in moments of danger, originate from? If you suddenly wave your hand in front of someone’s eyes, you’ll notice that their eyes blink instinctively ; A light tap on his knee will make his leg twitch ; Scare a friend in the dark, and he will instinctively shout, “Oh my God.” Whether you have religious beliefs or not, no one can deny these natural phenomena. All living beings in the world, including humans, have an instinct to seek help. Why do we have this instinct, this gift? Are the cries we utter not a form of prayer? It is hard to understand that, in a world governed by the laws of nature, God has granted this instinct to call for help to sheep, donkeys, birds, and humans, while also stipulating that such cries for help should be heard by some supernatural force and responded to. From now on, I will pray, but I only ask for guidance. I never seek material satisfaction. I do not pray for servants to bring me food, nor for houses, gold and silver, wealth, love, health, small victories, fame, success, or happiness. I only ask for guidance, guidance on how to obtain these things, and my prayers are answered. The guidance I pray for may be obtained or it may not, but aren’t both outcomes a kind of echo? If a child asks his father for bread and doesn’t get it, isn’t that also the father’s response? I seek guidance, praying as a salesman—O Almighty Lord, help me! Today, I came into this world alone and naked; without the guidance of your hands, I will stray from the path leading to success and happiness. I do not ask for money or clothes, nor even opportunities that suit my abilities; I only ask that you guide me to acquire the abilities needed for such opportunities. You once taught lions and eagles how to use their teeth and claws to hunt for food. Please teach me how to make a living through words, how to thrive with compassion, so that I can become a lion among men and an eagle in the world of business. Help me! Let me remain humble even after facing setbacks and failures, and let me see the rewards of victory. Give me the tasks that others cannot complete, and guide me to find the seeds of success in their failures. Let me face my fears to temper my spirit. Give me the courage to laugh at my own doubts and fear. Give me enough time to achieve my goal. Help me cherish every day as if it were the last. Guide me to keep my words and see them through to completion. Let me remain silent amid the rumors. Motivate me to develop the habit of trying again and again. Teach me how to use the balance rule. Let me stay sensitive so I can seize opportunities. Grant me patience to focus my efforts. Let me develop good *habits and get rid of bad ones. Grant me compassion, to sympathize with the weaknesses of others. Let me know that everything will pass, yet I can still count the daily gifts. Let me see what hatred is, so that it is no longer strange to me. But fill me with love, turning strangers into friends. But all these prayers must be in accordance with Your will. I am but a insignificant figure, like a grape hanging alone on a vine. Yet you make me different. In fact, I must have a special place. Guide me, help me, and show me the way ahead. When you planted me, allowing me to sprout in the world’s vineyard, making me what you had planned for me. Help this humble salesman! Lord, guide me!
