The converter keeps leaking air; I’d like to get a more durable one. Could everyone please help?
Generally, carbon steel is the material that is commonly used; converters often leak air, and the key is to control the moisture content in hydrogen chloride. Well, using stainless steel is simply too expensive.

What size of device? Conversion gas leakage and material? In China, the converters and the high-temperature pipes used for conversion were not subjected to any stress calculations at all, which is why there is a lot of air leakage. I guess this setup of yours is about 10 years old?
Large ones can use 304 stainless steel, while small ones can only use A3; if possible, aluminum spraying can be applied

It’s best to use stainless steel converters, of course. In my opinion, the operation parameters are very important – such as the speed at which heating or cooling takes place, and the frequency of starting up and shutting down the converter. A certain factory’s carbon steel converters remained leak-free for almost 5 years, while in other factories, stainless steel converters started leaking after just two or three years.
Find a reputable manufacturer to conduct a thorough analysis and carry out proper design work. It should last a few more years.
What kind of process, what type of converter? If it’s an old-style internal heat exchanger, gas leakage is quite normal.
