Is it possible to increase the conveying pressure or reduce the coal particle size?
Upgrade it! It’s abnormal not to check for blockages in such a small DN! I wonder how you designed it? Changing it to DN50 would definitely give better results~~ If it weren’t for the low temperature, we could use steam to heat the pipeline! Or slightly increase the pressure to 0.2 MPa. Try it out! 1. The flow rate is only 1 cubic meter per hour. 2. It comes out of a tank at atmospheric pressure
For the upper flushing oil system, flush it if it gets clogged.
1 Steam tracing 2 Improve the piping to reduce horizontal and upward flow as well as dead zones 3 Increase pressure, up to 0.5 MPa 4 Top flushing oil
This post was last edited by stx028 on 2009-5-5 15:18. Sludge settlement is mostly caused by too slow flow rates; our laboratory’s data shows that no blockages occur at flow rates of ≥0.5 m/s. Of course, the ratios of kerosene used are different, but increasing the flow rate does indeed help to prevent blockages. (Experience from Beijing Coal Research Institute) Additionally, an excessive number of 90-degree elbows and U-shaped elbows also make it easier for the coal slurry to settle. Therefore, when designing, try to use elbows with large radii. The above are just my personal opinions; I welcome everyone’s feedback
