When an alarm goes off, after silencing it one has to wait a few seconds before it stops. What’s going on? I’d like to ask the experts here.
I’m not sure whether your alarm function is implemented on the upper-level system or the lower-level system. If it’s on the upper-level system, there should be little to no delay. It’s possible that a reset delay has been set in the S7 program of the lower-level system. Sometimes, for safety reasons, we also add a delay of 1 to 2 seconds to the alarm reset process, to prevent accidental operations
It might be caused by the slow refresh rate of the host computer. After running for a while, this computer may accumulate files that occupy memory, resulting in a reduced refresh rate or even a system crash; however, this does not affect the control functions of the slave computer. In such cases, restarting the host computer usually resolves the issue. It’s also advisable to check whether any other software is installed on the host computer, especially games and antivirus programs, as they consume a lot of resources and should be removed
