Our company has a filter press equipped with an internal mixer; after solid-liquid separation, liquid needs to be added for pulping, and at this point the mixer needs to be raised or lowered (as there is internal pressure). Are there any lift-type mechanical seals available for this purpose? I wonder if any friends have come into contact with it?
This is a shaft seal; spring seals are generally used, while mechanical seals don’t seem to work. I have used this type of equipment; usually, spring seals are used. It’s a skeleton oil seal, and on the surface in contact with the shaft, there is a spring

For the sealing of this type of equipment, a combination of mechanical seals and auxiliary seals should be used. While the equipment is in operation, the mechanical seals perform the sealing function; when the mixer is raised or lowered for adjustment, the auxiliary seals take over the sealing role, with the mechanical seals temporarily being disengaged. Once the adjustment is complete, the mechanical seals return to their normal position. This structure is very complex and requires high levels of operational skill; it can operate under pressure, but this can only be achieved in a relatively favorable on-site environment.
