Due to location constraints, one tank needs to be placed directly below the beam, that is, the foundation of the tank is pressed directly above the lower beam. Is this allowed?
I haven't heard that it can't be directly above the beam. It should be OK!

Wouldn't it be appropriate if the equipment foundation is placed directly on the beam? Load-bearing equipment is generally not allowed at the show.

In our original design, the upper foundations were all on the main beams. As long as the beams were strong enough, there would be no problem.
When arranging equipment on the second floor and above, specifically find the location of the beams. In many cases, secondary beams must be made to carry the equipment. , Therefore, there is nothing wrong with arranging the equipment on the beam. The key depends on the stress of the beam. However, when we were doing equipment layout in the past (on the first floor), we tried to avoid floor beams. I think it was because of the uneven settlement.
Factors such as the endurance of the ground beneath the beam, the load-bearing capacity of the beam, the weight of the tank and the tank foundation, and the stress-bearing area should be considered comprehensively. If permitted, sand is usually added to the beam as a buffer layer to make the stress on the beam uniform. (I have encountered such a design, for reference) Note: I am a layman. This is what most of us do, put the tank legs or foundation on the beam. As long as the beam has enough bearing capacity, there is nothing wrong with it.
What you may be talking about is the ring beam. Placing the equipment above the main beam will first affect the appearance. Second, the main beam itself is thick, which will limit the installation and maintenance of piping and mixing.
