The Teledyne Model 6800 combines a custom sample handling system with the proven TAI Model 6400E UV fluorescence ppb/ppm analyzer. Unique to the sample handling system is a thermal zone converter that allows sulfur compounds in liquid fuels to be measured as SO2 per ASTM D5453-93 (UV fluorescence). The sampling system vaporizes the sample and optimizes the o * dant/fuel ratio, which is critical for ensuring complete combustion of the hydrocarbon components in a sample. Difficult sulfur compounds such as CS2 (carbon disulfide), thiols, dimethyl sulfide and other disulfides are easily broken down into the desired measured SO2 equivalent.
