There are not many guidelines available regarding the emissions from flare gas. However, chemical plants are becoming increasingly large these days, with projects often being constructed in multiple phases or series. Let’s discuss how to determine an appropriate value for the total emissions from flares across an entire plant in a cost-effective manner
For the total flare gas emissions of the entire plant, the highest single emission amount should be taken as the total emission value; it is not possible to consider the sum of all emissions, as that figure would be too large. This is just my personal opinion – I’m also quite confused about this issue and don’t know how to determine it each time I do the calculations.
