Design institutes generally design substations with a capacity of no more than 10,000 kW; what do people do if the capacity exceeds this limit? What is the diameter of the overhead lines used by the power supply bureau, and what is the length of the lines, 3 or 5 kilometers?

Is there a regulation stating that the capacity of 10kV switchgear rooms shall not exceed 10,000 KVA? I am now facing a 10kV substation with a capacity of over 30,000, located 1 kilometer away from an 110 kV station. Is it permissible to design it in this way? Help needed.

I’m not sure about the regulations, but when the voltage exceeds 10,000 volts, it becomes very troublesome and unsafe to connect the high-voltage lines. If possible, it would be better to install several more switchgear stations
The capacity of the substation depends on the switching capacity of the higher-level switchyard; it is a matter of coordination between different levels. Power supply companies generally design the switching capacity of 10kV output switches in switchyards according to standard criteria, with a typical requirement of 8000–10000 kVA. So this capacity is not determined by the switch; if it is exceeded, two separate connections are required (since the power supply department will not modify the upstream equipment)
Our company has 3 10KV substations, each with a capacity of 15,000 KVA. The substations are located 1 kilometer away from the 110KV power station; cables are buried to carry power to the site, and from there they travel through cable trays to reach the substations. All were designed and constructed by the power utility.
What is the size of the cables on the 8th floor? How many are there? How should the power supply cables be connected? Is there a cable distribution box?
The capacity of a station that opens and closes is determined by the incoming lines, while the outgoing lines of a substation typically use cables with a capacity of 300; this results in a capacity of around 10,000. If the N-1 operation principle is not taken into account, the actual capacity should be around 20,000
Forgot to mention it – the station opening and closing mentioned above refers to the situation with dual power supplies and interconnection; if there are three power supplies with interconnection, the capacity should be 20,000
In the actual production of chemical plants, where dual power supplies with interconnection are used, it’s not feasible to operate if one circuit is unable to handle a load of 2W; with triple power supplies and interconnection, the situation isn’t much different
