Was radiation heat transfer taken into account during the heat transfer calculations using the HTRI software? Consider only convective heat transfer.
I’ve read HTRI’s manual; both conduction and convection are taken into account. Radiative heat transfer should be negligible; compared to conduction and convection, radiation can basically be ignored. But the AIRCOOLER design seems to involve radiation heat transfer
Considering the thawing issue of the fluid in the air cooler during shutdown in winter, I believe both radiation heat transfer and convection heat transfer play a dominant role. How is this calculated in the HTRI software?
