Lubrication characteristics of chemical engineering machinery I. Lubrication of cracking unit machinery Petroleum cracking and gas fractionation units are used in the petrochemical industry to produce raw materials such as ethylene, propylene, and butylene. In addition to standard pumps, blowers, compressors, refrigerators, and hydraulic control equipment, these units also employ heat oil pumps and gas engines. They require lubricants that are heat-resistant and antioxidant, such as ISO VG32 or 46, 68, 100 extreme pressure turbine oils or oil film bearing oils. Refrigerators and ammonia compressors use refrigerant oils based on ISO VG32 or 46, 68 naphthenic oils or alkylbenzene oils with antioxidants added, or N32 or N68 ammonia-resistant turbine oils that meet SY 1231-84 standards. II. Lubrication for mechanical workers in polyethylene plants: Turbines, blowers, and pumps are generally lubricated with turbine oil of ISO VG32, 46, or 68, 100 grades ; The hydraulic system is lubricated with anti-wear hydraulic oil of ISO VG22, 32, or 68 grades ; Various gears are lubricated with extreme pressure industrial gear oil of ISO VG150~460 or 680, as well as with grease-adhered gears (100°C, 38 mm2/s) ; Air compressor oil ISO VG46~100 for compressors ; The chiller is lubricated with ISO VG32 or 46 refrigerant oil ; The mixer is lubricated with ISO VG100 extreme pressure oil containing MoS2 ; The separator">dryer is lubricated with AGMA8EP industrial extreme pressure gear oil. Instruments are lubricated with various greases that are resistant to oil, water, solvents, alcohols, chlorine, and more. Generally, rolling bearings are lubricated with grade 2 extreme pressure lithium-based grease, or ordinary grade 2 lithium-based grease. III. Lubrication of machinery in ammonia synthesis plants: In addition to the lubrication of compressors, blowers, vacuum pumps, etc., SY 1231-84N32 or N46 is used in rotary compressors or refrigeration compressors, steam turbines, and hydraulic systems. Anti-ammonia turbine oil. Lubricants with good heat and oxidation resistance should be used in the friction parts that operate at high temperatures, such as drying and granulation equipment. IV. Lubrication of machinery in acid, alkali, and salt handling systems. The characteristic of lubricating these machines is that they are exposed to corrosive substances or highly reactive chemicals; therefore, lubricants or greases with good acid and alkali resistance as well as corrosion resistance are required. For example, acid-resistant pumps or acid gas blowers need refined paraffin-based lubricants with excellent acid resistance, or bentonite greases containing colloidal graphite. Alkali solution pumps, on the other hand, require lubricants or lithium-based greases that are resistant to alkalis and free of acidic additives.
