The rules for making friends among colleagues are of utmost importance and must be kept in mind: First, one should not forge deep friendships with those who share their feelings too easily; such people may seem touching at first glance, but they are likely to confide in anyone as well, and no one holds much significance in their hearts. Second, one should not be close to those who spread gossip: those who love to talk about others’ faults are themselves flawed people. Third, those who fear chaos in the world should not form deep friendships: This goes without explanation; from childhood onward, Helena has always tried to avoid such people at all costs. Fourth, those who are inclined to take advantage of others for petty gains should not be kept as close friends: such behavior may seem minor, but when more serious issues arise in the company, managers might suspect such people. Fifth, those who are on their boss’s blacklist should not be forged into close friends: this may seem a bit extreme, but it’s definitely useful.
