Is there a specific **standard** for determining the acid value of chlorinated paraffins? I’m only aware of the standards for measuring the acid value of plasticizers; I’m not sure if these apply to chlorinated paraffins as well. 2. What should be the acceptable level of acid value for qualified chlorinated paraffin products? Some manufacturers claim their products have an acid value below 0.1, but I’ve read online that the industry standard is generally below 0.05. 3. The acid value values I obtain by using the national standards for measuring the acid value of plasticizers are higher than those provided by the manufacturers. Without third-party verification, I’m not sure if there’s an error in my methods. I hope those who have done this before can share some tips on how to reduce errors and improve accuracy.
