When using CAD to create pipe layout plans, should the length of valves be drawn at a 1:1 scale? At my previous workplace, all the valves on the piping diagrams were of the same size, or there were several different sizes – such as -80, 100, 200, 250 and above. Is that acceptable?
The floor plans in our company are all drawn at a 1:1 scale, as they are 2D drawings generated directly from 3D models:lol
It’s best to draw things in proportion; otherwise, issues such as insufficient space or collisions won’t be apparent. I drew them in proportion.
The biggest advantage of 1:1 is that it allows you to determine whether it affects installation and operation
1:1, because the drawings serve as a representation of the actual installation site; by drawing things at a 1:1 scale, there will be many fewer problems during installation!
