If the straight sections before and after are required to be 20D, how should they be installed? I hope fellow sailors can help think this through; those with experience, please share your insights.

Measurement of large-diameter circulating water flow: electromagnetic (not necessarily insert-type, inexpensive), multi-channel ultrasonic (insert-type). Ainuba-type devices are prone to gas accumulation, which affects measurement accuracy; try to avoid using them.
Large-diameter electromagnetic flowmeters are also expensive; ultrasonic flowmeters (flange type) could be an option as well. In any case, neither of them is cheap. But considering that the pipes are over a meter in diameter, it’s not some minor project, so the money that needs to be spent must be invested
An external clamp-type ultrasonic flow meter is convenient to install; a VeriFlow meter can also be used
To measure the flow rate of circulating water, if trade metering is not required, there is no need to choose expensive products. Insertion-type turbine flowmeters can fully meet the requirements. Don’t choose the most expensive one; just pick the right one.

If it’s just circulating water, the A’niu target flow meter is the cheapest. Other types are rarely used for such a large caliber.
I’m using a elbow flow meter, but I’m not sure if its accuracy will meet the requirements!
