Gasified raw coal

I’m not exactly sure about the details, but I’ve heard that the coal quality there is quite good, and many of the coal mines are open-air!

The Dongsheng coalfield is located in the central part of Yikezhao League in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It extends from the Yellow River in the north, to the border between Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia in the south, to a depth of 800 meters below the base of Layer 6 of the Zhuluo coal formation in the west, and to the surface outcrops of that coal formation in the east. It is 55 kilometers long from north to south and 83 kilometers wide from east to west. The coal-bearing area covers 12,860 square kilometers, with proven reserves of 72.75 billion tons and estimated reserves of 669 billion tons. A newly discovered super-large coal field in our country. It is connected to the Shenfu Coal Field. It is located in Yijinholo Banner, Yichang League, in the southwest of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The coal field, together with the Shenfu Coal Field, covers a total coal-bearing area of over 23,000 square kilometers, with proven reserves totaling 236.3 billion tons. Of this, the Ben coal field accounts for 72.752 billion tons. The estimated reserves amount to 669 billion tons, which is more than those of the world’s largest coal fields: the Appalachian and Powder River coal fields in the United States, the Donbas and Kuzbass coal fields in the former Soviet Union, and the Ruhr and Rhine coal fields in Germany. The coal types in the Dongsheng coalfield are long-flame non-caking and weakly caking coals, with an ash content of over 6%, a sulfur content of less than 0.5%, and a phosphorus content of 0.002

I only know that Dongshengli coal is relatively young, has a low bulk density, and high moisture and volatile matter content.

However, the coal price in Dongsheng is relatively low, while that in Shenfu is relatively high. From the same large coalfield, what are the differences?
