I checked GB50235-97, the Code for Construction and Acceptance of Industrial Metal Piping Projects; it only provides specifications on how to prepare grooves, but lacks guidelines regarding whether grooves are necessary for small-diameter high-pressure pipes.

The main factor to consider is the wall thickness; if it is too thick, it’s difficult to weld through, so bevels need to be created.

No beveling is required. Although it is a high-pressure pipeline, its diameter is too small, so the wall thickness won’t be very thick (this can be calculated). The root margin required for beveling is 2 mm; therefore, no beveling is needed, and the weld can be completed directly either by manual welding or TIG welding.
