The standard seems to state that cleaning water with less than 5% CL ions should be used; so is it okay for us to use recycled wastewater? Just asking casually?
We use fire-fighting water; haha, it seems it doesn’t meet the standards either. Personally, I think for heat exchangers that don’t have special requirements, the standards regarding water quality aren’t necessarily that strict – as long as the water isn’t extremely poor in quality, it’s fine! :D
It seems there are no particular requirements for carbon steel; the restriction on chloride ions in stainless steel is intended to prevent stress corrosion. What kind of water is used is not the issue; the key is to meet this requirement. Of course, there should be no substances in the water that could cause damage to the material. To show our true strength in front of foreigners: Watsons distilled water! :Q: According to the quality inspection reports, the CL- ion level in many mineral waters is above the allowed limit. Due to time constraints, I’ll go with the safest option
Less than 5% CL ions??? Where was this rule established? I remember it as a certain number per million ? ?
I remember it was 15PPM... but someone upstairs said it’s 25... 5%... 50,000PPM? This definitely can’t be right..
