Could you please advise on how to handle the welding issues related to hydrogen pipelines and what points need to be taken into consideration?
For hydrogen pipeline welding, the welding electrodes can be matched with the material of the pipeline; the key is to carry out proper pre-welding preparation – grinding is necessary, preferably at a 45-degree angle. After welding, flaw detection should be performed, and everything should be fine.
Post-weld heat treatment is required to eliminate thermal stress, along with flaw detection.
Now that the temperatures are higher in this season, the pipelines aren’t a major concern; 100% flaw detection is sufficient
It is advisable to conduct 100% flaw detection on hydrogen pipelines after welding.
