What are the reasons why a self-priming pump does not draw in liquid? Check for any leaks; if there are none, then no liquid will be sprayed. Is there a better way to test for leaks?
Is the pump not filled? Using soap bubbles for leak detection is a good option – it’s quite effective, easy to see, and cost-effective
Is the impeller clogged? There’s still a problem with the pipeline
A self-priming pump also needs to be primed the first time it is started! ! ! No need to fill it again when starting it in the future.
If there is no foot valve at the inlet of the self-priming pump, water must be filled in every time the pump is started. If a foot valve is present, water only needs to be filled in once, at the beginning, and not thereafter. Additionally, it is necessary to check the condition of the pump’s impeller and mechanical seal.
